As if the world wasn’t crazy enough with COVID-19, now we have the situation in Ukraine. There’s only so much I can do all the way over here in Canada, but I want to do what I can to show my support. My munchkins coloured a banner of peace in the Ukrainian colours that we’ve hung up. And I decided to use the Here Together stamp set to create a special card.
This card design was inspired by one of the phrases from this new stamp set; “Every Act of Kindness Changes the World”. It’s especially true now and so I chose the images to go with it. I wanted the two hands forming a heart as the focus and then I scattered a few hearts around them. Then I added the rays in the Ukrainian colours above and below the hands; Daffodil Delight for the yellow and Pacific Point for the blue.
I coloured the hands with two of the new sets of Stampin’ Blends; light and medium combo packs. The hearts I coloured with Real Red Blends. Since I wanted to pop up the hands I coloured them on a separate piece of Basic White cardstock and then cut them out. The coordinating dies will also make this even easier if you don’t like to fussy cut. Then I used some Stampin’ Dimensionals to pop up the hands and phrase which I cut out using the Stitched Rectangles dies. Here’s the card…
I’m not sure how much of the All Together suite is going to be carried over into the new Annual catalogue other than the Stampin’ Blends. It’s all available until May 2nd for sure, stay tuned for more information. In the meantime check out another project I made using the Here Together stamp set and Blends here.
