I love the Gilded Autumn Specialty Designer Series Paper! So when I got some I had to get creating with it. For my first card I decided to go with a thank you card. I don’t know about you, but I need thank you cards pretty often. Plus with it being Fall and Thanksgiving coming up thanks is a big theme.
To go with this particular Gilded Autumn DSP sheet I went with the Brushed Metallic cardstock. I thought it would go really well together… and how could I not add one of the Acorn Trinkets. They’re super cute!
The “thank you” from the So Inviting stamp set is really nice and I decided to go with Early Espresso ink to contrast the metallics in the DSP, strip of cardstock and small maple leaf that I punched using the Autumn Punch pack. I also added a bit of Linen Thread to tie in with the natural elements of the leaves and acorn. It’s definitely one of my go tos when I’m crafting and it works great with all kinds of projects for this time of year!
To frame the “thank you” I used the Stitched Shapes dies. Usually I would pop up the phrase with some Stampin’ Dimensionals, but for this card I did something a little bit different. I put the piece of Gilded Autumn Specialty DSP on a piece of Whisper White cardstock that was a little bit bigger and then added Stampin’ Dimensionals to that to adhere it to the Whisper White card base.
I really like how that looks, so I think I’m going to have to remember to do that more often!
If you like this card then you’ll want to stay tuned for other cards I make using the Gilded Autumn DSP and maybe sign up for my weekly email newsletter. I just kicked off my 12 Weeks of Christmas and you won’t find those projects anywhere else. In the meantime check out my Facebook Page tomorrow (Saturday Oct. 3rd) for World Cardmaking Day!
I hope you liked this card using some of the products from the Gilded Autumn suite!
