If you’ve been following me for a while then you’ve probably noticed that I love to add bling to my projects. So of course when I saw that this week’s Paper Craft Crew Challenge was a Sparkle & Shimmer theme I was totally in! All I needed to do for this challenge (PCC442) was to use my favourite sparkling product(s).
For some people this might be an easy choice. But for me… not so much. One of my favourite go-tos are the Rhinestone Basic Jewels. But I also love adding some Wink of Stella to my projects. Then of course there’s the Be Dazzling Designer Series Paper from the current Sale-a-bration catalogue. And the Glittery Organdy Ribbon from the July-December Mini catalogue. I had to pick something to get this design going, so I decided to start with the Be Dazzling DSP. And I had my other options close by if needed.
Once I had that I chose Basic Black for my card base to really show of the sparkles from the DSP. And while I wanted the DSP to stand out, I didn’t necessarily want it to be the only focus. So I used one of the black and white designs from the Pattern Party DSP pack that you can earn as a host.
I popped up the Be Dazzling DSP using some Stampin’ Dimensionals. Then I added a phrase from the Tasteful Touches stamp set, which I cut out using the Stitched Rectangles dies. For a while I thought about adding some of the Glittery Organdy Ribbon to add a little bit more bling. But in the end decided to add a few Rhinestone Basic Jewels in the bottom right hand corner of the Pattern Party DSP.
