It’s June! And this year that means that’s it’s time to goodbye to some of the products from the January-June Mini catalogue. So over the next few weeks I’ll be sharing projects featuring some of these retiring products. This week I’m showing off the stamp set Timeless Tulips and True Love Designer Series Paper. The True Love DSP is what’s retiring in this case. So is the Blushing Bride Metallic ribbon that I used.
This card design came from my Stamp & Jammies online card class from April using the Timeless Tulips stamp set. I love this stamp set! The phrases make it super versatile and since the stamps are DistINKtive, you get a lot more depth with your stamped images. With the black and white designs of the True Love DSP it didn’t matter what colours I picked. Which is nice and it also really helps the colours I do pick stand out. In this case I went with Blushing Bride and Pear Pizzazz.
Pear Pizzazz is probably my favourite green for stamping things like stems and leaves. It’s not too bright but not too dark. And the Blushing Bride worked well so that I could use the metallic ribbon to add a bit of bling to an otherwise simple card. For the phrase I decided to just cut the cardstock fairly close to it instead of using one of the Stitched Rectangles dies. I didn’t want to cover up too much of the DSP.
I really like the pairing of the Timeless Tulips and True Love Designer Series Paper! It turned out nicely.
