Paper Craft Crew Challenge #363

With a couple of weeks off from my “9 to 5” I was glad to have a bit more time to get to stamping and crafting! So while I was off I decided to participate in the Paper Craft Crew Challenge (PCC363). Here’s the sketch for this challenge…

As soon as I saw this sketch I knew that I wanted to do some watercolouring, the question was what colours was I going to use for the project. I went back and forth on a couple of different colour combinations, but in the end I went with my initial thought which was to use Granny Apple Green and Bermuda Bay.

I used Bermuda Bay cardstock for the card base and Granny Apple Green cardstock for the card mat. For the card front I used Watercolour Paper so that I could use my Aqua Painter to create a nice watercolour background using Granny Apple Green and Bermuda Bay ink.

I then created some layers using Granny Apple Green, Bermuda Bay and Very Vanilla cardstock. For the images and phrase I used the First Frost cling stamp set. I used Bermuda Bay ink to stamp the phrase and two flowers as well as some leaves to create a tone on tone effect on the Bermuda Bay oval. The buds were stamped with Granny Apple Green ink and the ovals were cut using the Stitched Shapes dies.

To finish it off I popped up the flowers using Stampin’ Dimensionals with some Silver Metallic Thread behind and then added a few Rhinestone Basic Jewels.

I really like how this card turned out and think it will be a great card for a wedding or engagement. Here’s the link to check out the other projects for this Paper Craft Crew Challenge… papercraftcrew.com/pcc363.
