Sweet Talk

When I saw this week’s Paper Craft Crew Challenge (PCC456) I wasn’t sure what kind of card I wanted to make. But then I remembered I haven’t dug into my pack of Sweet Talk Designer Series Paper yet. With Valentine’s Day around the corner I’ve been itching to get into it. I love the colours and designs! So this week’s vertical sketch challenge worked out perfectly. Here’s the sketch…

Sweet Talk

I wasn’t sure which design from the DSP pack I wanted to use for my card. There was one design that I knew I had to use, but there were some others that were really calling to me. In the end I decided to use 2 different designs for this one. To add to the Valentine’s Day theme for my card I pulled out my Heart Punch Pack. This pair of punches work so well together! I used just the scalloped heart for my other DSP design and then I used both to punch and layer some cardstock hearts.

Instead of using the Sweet Conversations stamp set I used the Heartfelt stamp set that coordinates with the punches. This way I could dress up my cardstock heart and not have to worry about the phrase fitting or not. Plus the dotted heart image was a great way to pull in the Basic Black from the card base. I don’t usually use black for my Valentine’s Day card, but I tried it out last year and just love how it makes the reds and pinks pop!

To finish it off I popped up my hearts with a few Stampin’ Dimensionals. And then added a few Rhinestone Basic Jewels for some bling. Can’t forget to add that! Here’s my finished card…
