Pop Up Step Front Panel Card

For this month’s Fancy Fold Design Team blog hop we’re making a Pop Up Step Front Panel card. It’s a really neat card to make. And I like how it can fold up to fit in one of my usual envelopes. Here’s a video to show you the step by steps. Plus I have a simple project sheet at the end of this post with measurements and instructions.

Before I even watched the video I knew I wanted to use Butterfly Bouquet! These products aren’t officially available until March. But since I’m a demonstrator I get to play with them early. I just love butterflies and these are so pretty! I can’t wait to create some more with these.

My card base is Basic White and I decided to pull Mint Macaron from the Designer Series Paper for my cardstock layers. I used both sides of one of the sheets from the Butterfly Bijou 6×6 DSP pack for my patterned paper layers. And played around with where which pattern would go before I stuck them on.

To add a little something more to my card I used the Brilliant Wings dies to cut out a bunch of butterflies from one of the other sheets of DSP. I love how the dies line up perfectly to do this! I’ve fussy cut images from other DSP packs and it’s definitely not my preferred way to do it.

My phrase comes from the Tasteful Touches stamp set. I stamped it with Misty Moonlight and then cut it out using the Stitched Nested Labels dies. Then I popped it up with some Stampin’ Dimensionals and added a few Rhinestone Basic Jewels. And to top it off I used some Wink of Stella on the butterflies I added to the card. Here’s the finished card…
