Paper Craft Crew Challenge #395

I really liked the sketch for Paper Craft Crew Challenge #395 (PCC395) and so I thought I’d give it a try. Plus it’s been a while since I’ve done one and I always enjoy participating. They really make me think outside the box. And I don’t know about you, but sometimes I find I get into a cardmaking rut.

Here’s the sketch for this week’s challenge…

Paper Craft Crew Challenge #395

For my card I decided I would use some extra pumpkins and leaves that I had left over from another project. With Fall just started and Halloween on the way I knew I’d come up with a project to use them with. The Harvest Hellos stamp set along with the Apple Builder punch is so much fun to use right now. It also comes in handy for teacher’s gifts and cards for my two munchkins.

From there I knew I wanted to use some of the Just Jade Gingham ribbon from the Flowers for Every Season combo pack. So I decided to go with Just Jade and Crumb Cake for my colour combination.

I really like how the Crumb Cake square frames the pumpkin and the branches sticking out from behind are a nice compliment. The branches come from the Tasteful Touches stamp set and the “for you” comes from the Beauty Abounds stamp set.

This was a fun card to make! I even showed it off in a live crafting session on my Facebook Page for World Cardmaking Day this past Saturday. Here’s the full card…

The Just Jade and Crumb Cake makes a wonderful pairing on this lovely card. I’m going to tuck that combo away for myself sometime. Thanks so much for playing along with us at the Paper Craft Crew.
