Goodbye Terracotta Tile

Goodbye Terracotta Tile

This year the list of products retiring from the Annual Catalogue is coming sooner. The new catalogue will be launching in May and so at the end of March we’ll see what’s staying and what’s going. One thing that I know for sure won’t be sticking around are the 2019-2021 In Colours. And these always sell out quickly so I thought I would start my farewells now. First up… it’s time to say goodbye to Terracotta Tile.

This was not my favourite colour. I’m more of a Seaside Spray, Purple Posy kind of girl. I just wasn’t quite sure what to pair with this colour and so I didn’t use it very often. A little while back I shared another card using Terracotta Tile, you can check that out here. For both these cards I paired Terracotta Tile and Old Olive. Although for this one I made Terracotta Tile more of the focus.

The phrase and all the images came from the Waterfront stamp set. This is actually my first card using this stamp set. I like the idea of creating a scene and I’m looking forward to crafting more with this set. In addition to the Terracotta Tile and Old Olive, I also used Crumb Cake ink. I thought it would add a kind of marshy feel to the scene.

Once my ink was dry I added some Wink of Stella to the Terracotta Tile. I cut out and framed the phrase using the Layering Circles dies. Which I popped up with a Stampin’ Dimensional that I cut in half. You could also use a few of the Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals instead of cutting one of the larger ones.

I really like how this turned out. And it didn’t hurt that when I showed it to my husband he actually thought it was a picture!

I can’t believe that it’s already time to say goodbye to Terracotta Tile and the other In Colours. If you like these colours then be sure to act quickly. These will sell out fast! Here’s the link to put these ink pads in your craft stash. Next week I’ll be featuring a different In Colour, so stay tuned!
