Goodbye Pretty Peacock

On March 24th the list of retiring products from the current Annual Catalogue will be released! And when that happens the 2019-2021 In Colours won’t last very long. So I’m featuring one of the retiring In Colours each week. Last week it was Terracotta Tile. This week it’s time to say goodbye Pretty Peacock.

For this card I decided to go monochromatic to really show off the colour. And so of course I went with Basic White for the card base. The images came from the Tasteful Touches stamp set. I really like the background the different images create. To get the monochromatic effect I stamped with Pretty Peacock ink onto Pretty Peacock cardstock. The blooms I stamped on Basic White and then cut out.

The phrase for this card came from the Friends are like Seashells stamp set. This set is going to become a favourite for sure! I love all the images and the phrases are so versatile. I stamped the phrase in Pretty Peacock, of course. And then cut it out using one of the Stitched Nested Labels dies. Then I popped up the phrase and the two flowers with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I felt like the card still needed a little something… which in my case usually means adding some bling. So to finish it off I added a Rhinestone Basic Jewel and some Wink of Stella to the feathers and centres of the flowers. Here’s the card…

With Stampin’ Up! switching up their release dates for catalogues this feels so soon. I can’t believe that it’s almost time to say goodbye Pretty Peacock and 2019-2021 In Colours.

If you live in Canada and want to stock up on the 2019-2021 In Colour products I don’t suggest you wait until March 24th. These products will sell out quickly and some of them are already starting to run low. So use my link to stock up now!

Goodbye Terracotta Tile

This year the list of products retiring from the Annual Catalogue is coming sooner. The new catalogue will be launching in May and so at the end of March we’ll see what’s staying and what’s going. One thing that I know for sure won’t be sticking around are the 2019-2021 In Colours. And these always sell out quickly so I thought I would start my farewells now. First up… it’s time to say goodbye to Terracotta Tile.

This was not my favourite colour. I’m more of a Seaside Spray, Purple Posy kind of girl. I just wasn’t quite sure what to pair with this colour and so I didn’t use it very often. A little while back I shared another card using Terracotta Tile, you can check that out here. For both these cards I paired Terracotta Tile and Old Olive. Although for this one I made Terracotta Tile more of the focus.

Goodbye Terracotta Tile

The phrase and all the images came from the Waterfront stamp set. This is actually my first card using this stamp set. I like the idea of creating a scene and I’m looking forward to crafting more with this set. In addition to the Terracotta Tile and Old Olive, I also used Crumb Cake ink. I thought it would add a kind of marshy feel to the scene.

Once my ink was dry I added some Wink of Stella to the Terracotta Tile. I cut out and framed the phrase using the Layering Circles dies. Which I popped up with a Stampin’ Dimensional that I cut in half. You could also use a few of the Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals instead of cutting one of the larger ones.

I really like how this turned out. And it didn’t hurt that when I showed it to my husband he actually thought it was a picture!

I can’t believe that it’s already time to say goodbye to Terracotta Tile and the other In Colours. If you like these colours then be sure to act quickly. These will sell out fast! Here’s the link to put these ink pads in your craft stash. Next week I’ll be featuring a different In Colour, so stay tuned!
