Little Lily Impressions

I’ve got a couple of swaps going out this weekend and so I thought that I would share one of them with you here. (I’ll be sharing all my swaps once I get them back on my Facebook page so make sure to like my page so that you get a heads up!) In the meantime here’s a cute little card I made using a couple of products from this year’s Sale-a-bration catalogue.

As you may have seen from a previous post I’m just loving the Lovely Lily Pad photopolymer stamp set and I can’t wait for the Lily Pad dies to arrive (which should be soon)! So of course with my love of lily pads I just had to get the Lily Impressions Designer Series Paper and I thought this would be great to use for my Sale-a-bration card swap.

As I said this is just a little card, 3 1/2″ x 3 1/2″ (once folded) of Whisper White cardstock, because I really wanted to highlight the DSP. And I left a very small Whisper White border around the outside edge for the same reason.

I also used the Free as a Bird bundle for this card. I stamped a phrase using Bermuda Bay ink from the Free as a Bird cling stamp set and cut it out using the Stitched Nested Labels dies.

I chose to use Bermuda Bay ink for this card because I thought it would help draw out the blue in the Designer Series Paper and also because I wanted it to coordinate with the Metallic Baker’s Twine and Sequin combo that I also used for this little card. I simply wrapped the Bermuda Bay twine through the inside of the card and tied a bow on the outside, popped up the phrase using some Stampin’ Dimensionals and then added a few of the sequins.

This card was so easy and quick to make and I love how it turned out! I hope my fellow swappers feel the same.

If you want to see all my card swaps then make sure to like my Facebook page because I’ll share them live there. Also if you liked this card and would like to get notified whenever I post here about projects, tips, etc. make sure to follow my blog.
