ScrapFest 2022

As things have been slowly getting back to what they were like before COVID-19, I’ve been looking for local craft fairs to join. I was starting to get into a groove and was sad when things shut down. So I’m excited that I have the opportunity to join ScrapFest 2022!

ScrapFest 2022

So you may be wondering… what is ScrapFest? It’s a 2 day event for those who love to scrapbook and paper craft. I participated in something like this many years ago… before the 2 munchkins. And I loved the chance to just crop and scrapbook for 2 whole days at my very own table. There’s also going to be classes, demonstrations and a marketplace. That’s where I’ll be!

There’s going to be a lot to check out. I’ll have 2 tables in my booth that are going to be filled with cards, treat boxes and lots of other stamped projects. Plus I’ll be bringing my stash of retired products. So if there’s something you’ve been looking for I might have it. Who knows?!

ScrapFest is on Friday April 22nd and Saturday April 23rd at the Kitchener Memorial Auditorium. There are still some tickets which you can get in advance or at the door. For more about ScrapFest 2022 check out their website!

Sale is On Now

Usually this sale doesn’t happen til the Fall. But with a new Mini Catalogue and round 2 of Sale-a-bration starting next month, Stampin’ Up! decided to do it early. So the Designer Series Paper sale is on now! This time around there are 9 different packs of Designer Series Paper on sale. And they’re all 15% off from now until August 2nd! There are no limits on how many packs of DSP you can order and if you only wanted one pack that’s okay too.

Sale is On Now

Some of my favourites that are on sale include the Beauty of the Earth pack of DSP. I’ve been having a lot of fun crafting with this pack. I’m using it for a Fancy Fold that I’ll be sharing here on Friday. My other favourites are the Hand Penned and In Good Taste packs which are on their way to me now. I can’t wait to get crafting with those packs. You can check out some team card swaps using the Hand Penned DSP pack here. Then if you LOVE Christmas you’ll definitely love the Tidings of Christmas pack of DSP!

And that’s only 4 of the 9 packs. The other packs on sale this time around are Bloom Where You’re Planted, In the Wild, Pansy Petals, Sweet Symmetry and You’re a Peach. So there are lots of options no matter what you like to create.

Over the next couple of weeks I’ll be sharing projects using some of these paper packs. So be sure to check back in. And if you live in Canada and want to stock up on the Designer Series Paper that’s on sale now, head to my online store. And if you place on order of $49 or more be sure to use my host code for this month to get a free pack of From my Heart Faceted Gems.

Stamping Tips

I’ve been scrapbooking and stamping for quite a while and I STILL get stuck for ideas. So like most crafters I’ve got lots of pictures of cards and projects for inkspiration. I’m also learning new things all the time. New folds, stamping techniques and other helpful tips. And I love sharing my projects and stamping tips with others!

I share a bunch of this on my Facebook page, along with other fun posts. But the best place to get the inside scoop from me is in my weekly email newsletter. Every week I share something to help with adding a little something more to your projects or taking care of your stamping tools. I also share share tricks with the hope that it’ll make crafting a bit easier.

Stamping Tips

And I’d love to share your tips with my community! I’m always on the look out for new things to share. And if you have any questions I’d be happy to answer them.

Sale-a-bration 2021

The new January-June Mini catalogue is here! But more importantly Sale-a-bration 2021 is here!! This is always a great time to stock up on crafting supplies because when you do you earn free and exclusive products. Stampin’ Up! is doing it a little differently though this time around. So here’s all the details so you can make the best of Sale-a-bration.

The big difference this year is that Sale-a-bration is only 2 months, til the end of February, instead of 3! And instead of only 1 Sale-a-bration, this year there will be 2. The second one will take place over the summer. Otherwise Sale-a-bration is very much the same. Every order of $60 will earn you a free and exclusive Sale-a-bration product of your choice. So when your order is $60 you can choose a Level 1 product, when your order is $120 you can choose either 1 Level 2 product or 2 Level 1 products and so on. The other important thing to highlight is that some of these products may not last until the end of Sale-a-bration. So you won’t want to wait! Here’s some of the great products that you can earn for free during this Sale-a-bration.

Sale-a-bration 2021

As always there are 2 other ways that you can earn extras during Sale-a-bration. The first is by hosting a qualifying party of $375 or more. When you do, you not only get extra Stampin’ Rewards (aka free stuff), but you’ll also earn the Punch Party stamp set from the picture above. You can’t get this set any other way.

The other way is by joining my team. The Starter Kit is always a good deal because you get $165 worth of Stampin’ Up! products of your choice for only $135 (tax and shipping included)! But right now you can also get 5 exclusive 6×6 packs of Designer Series Paper. Each pack features one of Stampin’ Up!s colour families; Brights, Neutrals, Regals and Subtles. Plus the most recent In Colours; Misty Moonlight, Just Jade, Bumblebee, Magenta Madness and Cinnamon Cider. Here’s a peak at the packs…

I know I’m excited for Sale-a-bration 2021 and I hope you are too!

Joy to the World

Back in October Stampin’ Up!s Paper Pumpkin kit was all about connecting with people around the world. The Joy to the World kit had a holiday theme and came with die cuts in 3 different languages; English, French and German. I loved this idea because I have family in Germany and this would be a good opportunity for me to reconnect with them. I also loved this idea because Stampin’ Up! created a Facebook group to give people a chance to find pen pals from around the world. I connected with 4 other demonstrators; one from Australia, one from New Zealand, one from Germany and one from Japan.

Along with the gold die cuts, the kit also came with enough supplies to make 8 cards including envelopes. I love the Cherry Cobbler and Just Jade colour combination. Cherry Cobbler is such a great colour for the holidays and Just Jade is one of my favourites from the new In Colours. Plus the Crumb Cake card bases with gold design really helped these colours pop. Here’s a picture of the two original designs from the October kit along with two alternative designs that I created…

Joy to the World

As much as I enjoy following the instructions, especially when I’m not sure what I want to make, I love coming up with different designs. Usually I make alternative card designs. Lately though I’ve also been making some home decor pieces like this 9 x 9 sampler. With this piece I also used the Poinsettia Petals bundle and a few of the Wonderful Gems. Both from the August-December Mini catalogue.

Joy to the World

I also made a hand sanitizer container. You could probably also tuck a gift card in there too. For the ribbon I used the Cherry Cobbler Twine from the kit along with the Just Jade Gingham ribbon from the Flowers for Every Season combo pack.

Joy to the World

I really enjoyed crafting with the Joy to the World kit. My cards to my family and pen pals are on their way. I hope they like them and hopefully my German is understandable. It’s been a while!

If you’d like to jump on the Paper Pumpkin band wagon and live in Canada, you can sign up here. Plus each month I offer a Paper Pumpkin online class featuring that month’s kit.
