One more time

I can’t believe that it’s time to say goodbye already. Where have the past 2 months gone?! I’m just loving the Delicate Dahlias stamp set from this round of Sale-a-bration! I feel like I’m just starting to get into a creative groove with this stamp set and now it’s “retiring”. And so I have to share one more time before Sale-a-bration is over tomorrow.

This time around I switched up the colour combination and layered both the outline and solid stamps. You can check out my card using Delicate Dahlias that I posted last week right here. This isn’t a fall themed card, so I stuck with green as one of my colours. But instead of Granny Apple Green like in my last card, I used Just Jade. For the blooms I used Petal Pink. These pair together really well I think.

For the background I wanted to use an embossing folder. This way the images could really stand out and at the same have there be something behind them. I like the Painted Texture 3D embossing folder because it’s not too busy, but you still notice what it does to the cardstock.

One More Time

To stamp the images I started with the outline and then “filled it in” with the other stamp. The blooms are Petal Pink and for the leaves I stamped the outline in full strength Just Jade but then stamped off the solid image before stamping on the cardstock. I think this way helps show the detail of the leaves a bit better.

Once I finished with that I wrapped the stamped and embossed cardstock with some ribbon. This is the Just Jade Gingham ribbon from the Flowers for Every Season ribbon combo pack. It adds a nice touch and gives you something else to look at. The phrase I cut out and framed using the Layering Circles dies and then popped up with dimensionals. And of course I had to add some bling. So I added a few Rhinestone Basic Jewels to the card.

One More Time

I’m really thinking I’m going to have to hold on to this stamp set even though Sale-a-bration ends tomorrow. This is a great stamp set for a number of different occassions.

If you want to take advantage of Sale-a-bration before it’s over tomorrow then head over to my online shop and stock up on whatever you need and be ready for your free Sale-a-bration goodies!

Delicate Dahlias

There’s less than a week left in round two of Sale-a-bration 2021! Have you taken advantage yet?! With a little bit of time left I thought I’d share a couple more projects to show off these great products that you can earn for free until September 30th. I recently got my hands on the Delicate Dahlias stamp set. This stamp set is one that you can get for free with an order of $120. I’ve seen lots of great projects with this stamp set. So I’m excited to share my first card using it with you.

For this card I really wanted to show off the blooms. So I decided to create a background for my design with a few panels on top. With the sketch in my head I needed to pick a colour combination. Of course I needed some green for the leaves. And I love pairing greens and purples together. So I went with Highland Heather and Granny Apple Green. For the background I used the more solid stamps. And I really like how you still get different shades in the blooms and leaves.

Delicate Dahlias

For the panels I used the outline stamps. I think leaving them as outlines is a nice contrast to the background. Then I popped them up with a few Stampin’ Dimensionals. On top of the panels I have one of the phrases from the stamp set which I cut out using the smallest Stitched Rectangles die. And to finish it off I added just a couple of Rhinestone Basic Jewels.

Delicate Dahlias

I’m a little sad that I didn’t get the Delicate Dahlias stamp set sooner. But I’ll enjoy crafting with it while I can… or maybe this’ll be one stamp set that I hold on to. You can check out another project I did using one of the other free Sale-a-braton stamp sets; Textures & Frames. And make sure you don’t miss out on this round of Sale-a-bration! Check out my online shop here. And when you place an order of $49 or more make sure you use this month’s host code. Because when you do you’ll receive a free pack of Genial Gems from me.

#SimpleStamping with Textures & Frames

It’s Sale-a-bration time again! And so this month’s #SimpleStamping challenge from Stampin’ Up! is to create any kind of card featuring a Sale-a-bration item. So considering I can only use stamps, ink and paper I decided to do some #SimpleStamping with Textures & Frames. This is one of the stamp sets that you can earn for free right now til the end of September. I’m still trying to decide if I like this stamp set. I used it for another card, which you can check out here. Let me know what you think.

For this card I kept things very simple. I used a Basic Black card base to help the different colours really pop and Basic White cardstock for the other pieces. I wanted to try and make a kind of abstract design. So I paired up a bunch of the images from the stamp set with the new In Colours. All of them except for Evening Evergreen anyway. I also stamped the ink splatter image on the inside of the card using Fresh Fressia.

#SimpleStamping with Textures & Frames

I went back and forth on whether to add anything else… like a phrase using another stamp set. But I decided to keep it general and abstract and not add a phrase. To add a little something more though I did pop up my colourful strip with some Stampin’ Dimensionals.

#SimpleStamping with Textures & Frames

I loved the challenge of #SimpleStamping with Textures & Frames! You would think that with the word simple in it, it would be simple to create them. But I often find I need to really think about these designs before I start stamping. With my other designs I can kind of design and tweak as I go. It’s harder to do that with these designs I find. Weird right?!

To check out all the Sale-a-bration options that you can earn for free with your qualifying orders, check out my online shop! Remember with a $60 order you can choose one item and with a $120 order you can choose one or two items and so on. If you have any questions just send me an email; inkspirationwithteresa@gmail.com

Sweet Treats

The new mini catalogue is here! And so is another round of Sale-a-bration!! I’ve been having fun with some of the products from the new catalogues and am so excited to share them with you. While the July-December mini catalogue is all about the holidays, especially Christmas, this card is something a little different. I’ve been on the look out for a new birthday themed stamp set and I found a really cute one in the mini. It’s the Sweet Treats stamp set.

I don’t think I’m quite ready to take the deep dive into holiday crafting just yet. So while I can use this set for Christmas, I decided to make a birthday card instead. I just love the versatility of this set. And I can’t wait to use the coordinating dies! For this card I started my colour combination with Pale Papaya, one of the newest In Colours. I also wanted something a little darker than Crumb Cake. So I went with Soft Suede and I really love these two colours together.

For this design I wanted the Pale Papaya to be the stand out colour. So I used it for the card base and frame behind the cupcakes. For the background I used a combination of the Pale Papaya and Soft Suede to stamp the images. Then I wrapped some of the White Crinkled Seam Binding ribbon around it and added a bow.

Sweet Treats

I really wanted some cupcakes as the focal point for this card. So I used some masking to create my cupcake pile. Then I used a Blender Pen to make some Pale Papaya frosting and Soft Suede cupcakes. Once that was dry I added some Wink of Stella to the frosting.

To help them stand out even more I used the Layering Circles dies to frame them. And then I popped them up with some Stampin’ Dimensionals. I still wanted a little something more for this card. So I pulled out one of my favourite go-tos… the Rhinestone Basic Jewels. I love my bling!

Sweet Treats

I just LOVE this card using the Sweet Treats stamp set! And I can’t wait to craft some more with it. If you want to check out one of the stamp sets that you can earn for FREE during Sale-a-bration, then check out last week’s post here. And if you want to check out the new mini catalogue, you can do that here in my online shop. Plus if you live in Canada and want your very own copy just send me an email (inkspirationwithteresa@gmail.com). I’d be happy to mail them out to you!

Textures & Frames

Over the last couple of week’s I’ve been sharing projects using some of the Designer Series Paper that’s on sale this month. Last week it was the Hand Penned DSP pack’s turn. You can check that out here. This week I’m showing off the In Good Taste DSP pack. I’m also adding in a little sneak peak with this project; the Textures & Frames stamp set. The new mini catalogue and Sale-a-bration kick off next week. So I’ve been playing around with some of my pre-order goodies.

For this card design I started with the DSP design. There are a few that I really like and for this card I thought I’d use the DSP as my background. Once I sorted that out the Textures & Frames stamp set made a lot of sense. I also used the DSP to spark my colour combination; Smoky Slate and Night of Navy. I wanted to add a splash of colour to the card and Night of Navy pops and compliments the Smoky Slate nicely.

Textures & Frames

The “for you” comes from the A Good Man stamp set. I just picked this one up recently and love the phrases and images. I’m not sure why I waited so long to get it. From there I cut out the phrase and framed it with the Layering Circles dies. I also did a simple Smoky Slate frame for my circles and ink splotches which I popped up with some Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Textures & Frames

The Textures & Frames stamp set is still growing on me. I definitely need to craft some more with this one to see where it goes. In the meantime, I really like how this card turned out.

If you want to grab the In Good Taste DSP, or any of the other packs that are on sale, head over to my online store. And make sure to check it out before August 2nd, because that’s the last day to get 15% off of these DSP packs!

Paper Pumpkin Sale-a-bration Perks

I have to admit that while I liked the idea I wasn’t a big fan of the first Paper Pumpkin kits. Now I’m a definite fan! Over the past few years Stampin’ Up! have stepped up their game. The kits have gotten better and better. They’re also a go to for me when I don’t know what I want to make. Plus right now there are some great Paper Pumpkin Sale-a-bration perks. If you’re not sure what Sale-a-bration is, then check out this post. The easiest way to explain it is you get free product when you place a qualifying order. And Paper Pumpkin subscriptions are no exception.

So with Paper Pumpkin each month you get all the supplies you need to make that month’s project shipped right to your door. That includes a small stamp set, a Stampin’ Spot (small ink pad) and if it’s your first kit an acrylic block. More often than not the kit’s a card project, but sometimes there will be treat containers or bags. Here are a few of my recent favourites…

The bonus right now with Paper Pumpkin is when you sign up for a 3, 6 or 12 month subscription. Usually when you get a 6 subscription you save $1 on each kit. And with a 12 month subscription you get 1 month for free. But right now you can also get your choice of the free and exclusive Sale-a-bration products! With a 3 month subscription you can get 1 Level 1 product. A 6 month subscription will get you 2 Level 1 products or 1 Level 2 product. And with a 12 month subscription you’ll get 3 Level 1 products or 1 Level 2 product AND 1 Level 1 product. (plus with a 12 month subscription you also get $30 to spend on whatever you’d like from any of the current catalogues)

Paper Pumpkin Sale-a-bration Perks

With those extra goodies you’ll be able to make so many more cards. You’ll even be able to kick the original designs up a notch. I love pairing my Paper Pumpkin kits with products from the current catalogues!

The other nice thing with Paper Pumpkin is that you can pause your subscription any time you want. So if you only want certain kits or need some time to catch up on your crafting it’s easy to do that. Here’s a sneak peek at next month’s kit…

A #simplestamping Rainbow

It’s been a while since I’ve joined one of Stampin’ Up!s #simplestamping challenges. So when I saw this month’s challenge I decided to get back into it. This month’s challenge is to create a card using only stamps, ink and paper along with a Sale-a-bration item. My card is a #simplestamping rainbow of sorts.

I’ve been enjoying creating with the A Touch of Ink stamp set and when I saw this challenge this idea immediately popped into my head. I love when that happens, don’t you?! This stamp set is my favourite from the Sale-a-bration catalogue. I love all the images and the phrases make this set so versatile. I’m definitely looking forward to crafting more with this one!

The original design was tweaked a little bit. Initially I thought I would do this as a smaller card, but then I changed it to a slimline card to really get the full effect that I wanted. I used Basic Black for the card base and didn’t use a coloured mat to really help my rainbow pop.

A #simplestamping Rainbow

It took a little bit of time to come up with all the colours for this card. I didn’t want to use the same colour and stamp off. So I chose a darker and lighter shade for each of the flowers. The range of colours Stampin’ Up! has made this pretty easy.

To space out the flowers as evenly as possible I stamped the two outer ones first. Then I stamped the two in the centre of the card and filled in the spaces with the last two. Doing it this way also helped give the darker outline images a bit more time to dry before I “filled” them in. The phrase I stamped with Tuxedo Black Memento ink. Here’s the full card…

A #simplestamping Rainbow

This was such a fun challenge! And I really love how my card turned out. It’s going to be hard to give this one away. I hope that you enjoyed my card making a #simplestamping rainbow too.

Catalogues are Here!

The new January-June Mini and Sale-a-bration catalogues are here! Which means that there’s lots of new Stampin’ Up! products to get crafty with. This project shows off 2 of the free and exclusive products from the Sale-a-bration catalogue. If you’re not sure what Sale-a-bration is all about, you need to check this blog post out.

For this card I knew that I wanted to use the A Touch of Ink stamp set. I LOVE butterflies so when I saw this in the Sale-a-bration catalogue it was the first thing on my list! To go with it I decided to use some of the Paper Blooms Designer Series Paper. Then once I picked the design I wanted it was pretty easy to pick the colour combination. Seaside Spray is one of my favourite In Colours from this bunch and will be so sad once it’s gone in a few months. I haven’t used Rococo Rose as much but it looks so pretty on this paper and goes well with Seaside Spray.

Catalogues are here

So I used Seaside Spray for my card base and the Rococo Rose came from the DSP. I also used it as one of my ink colours; for the phrase on the outside and the image on the inside. For the leaves on the left side of the card I used Pear Pizzazz. I stamped off onto a scrap piece of paper before “filling in” the butterfly and leaf images. That really helps the outline of the image pop. For whatever reason I didn’t do that when I stamped a Rococo Rose flower on the inside of the card and really wished that I had.

The phrase for this card actually comes from the Timeless Tulips stamp set from the Annual Catalogue. I framed this with some Seaside Spray and popped it up with a couple of Stampin’ Dimensionals. Then I added a bit of bling with one of my favourite go-tos… the Rhinestone Basic Jewels.

Catalogues are here

I really like how this card turned out and am excited to stamp some more with A Touch of Ink!

The new catalogues are here so if you want your very own copy, and live in Canada, let me know (inkspirationwithteresa@gmail.com) and I’ll send one out to you. In the meantime you can check them out in my online shop.

Sale-a-bration 2021

The new January-June Mini catalogue is here! But more importantly Sale-a-bration 2021 is here!! This is always a great time to stock up on crafting supplies because when you do you earn free and exclusive products. Stampin’ Up! is doing it a little differently though this time around. So here’s all the details so you can make the best of Sale-a-bration.

The big difference this year is that Sale-a-bration is only 2 months, til the end of February, instead of 3! And instead of only 1 Sale-a-bration, this year there will be 2. The second one will take place over the summer. Otherwise Sale-a-bration is very much the same. Every order of $60 will earn you a free and exclusive Sale-a-bration product of your choice. So when your order is $60 you can choose a Level 1 product, when your order is $120 you can choose either 1 Level 2 product or 2 Level 1 products and so on. The other important thing to highlight is that some of these products may not last until the end of Sale-a-bration. So you won’t want to wait! Here’s some of the great products that you can earn for free during this Sale-a-bration.

Sale-a-bration 2021

As always there are 2 other ways that you can earn extras during Sale-a-bration. The first is by hosting a qualifying party of $375 or more. When you do, you not only get extra Stampin’ Rewards (aka free stuff), but you’ll also earn the Punch Party stamp set from the picture above. You can’t get this set any other way.

The other way is by joining my team. The Starter Kit is always a good deal because you get $165 worth of Stampin’ Up! products of your choice for only $135 (tax and shipping included)! But right now you can also get 5 exclusive 6×6 packs of Designer Series Paper. Each pack features one of Stampin’ Up!s colour families; Brights, Neutrals, Regals and Subtles. Plus the most recent In Colours; Misty Moonlight, Just Jade, Bumblebee, Magenta Madness and Cinnamon Cider. Here’s a peak at the packs…

Join my team

So if you live in Canada and have been waiting for the opportunity to join the Stampin’ Up! family, now is a great time! Here’s the link to join my team. Or if you have questions or want me to send you the new catalogues then contact me. I’m happy to help in any way I can!

I know I’m excited for Sale-a-bration 2021 and I hope you are too!

Sweet Treats

I’m slowly starting to get into my stash of products from the upcoming new catalogues. And I’m really looking forward to some time off from my “9 to 5” so that I can really have some fun! This card uses some of the sweet treats from the new Ice Cream Corner suite of products. When I saw these being demo’d at OnStage@Home this November I was totally wow’d! So of course when I did my pre-order I had to get my hands on some.

For this card design I wanted to pair the Sweet Ice Cream stamp set with the Ombre 6×6 Designer Series Paper. This pack of paper is one of the great products you can get for FREE during Sale-a-bration which kicks off next month. So that’s where I got my colour combination from. I used some of the Blackberry Bliss and Granny Apple Green DSP and so the cardstock and inks followed suit.

Sweet Ice Cream

When I was going through the paper designs I decided to pick two different ones and have them be off-centre. I also liked the idea of showing a couple of the different designs. So I picked the circles and the plain ombre designs.

I added some Crumb Cake for the popsicle stick and cut it out using the Stitched Rectangle dies. Then I popped it up and the phrase using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Sweet Ice Cream

Initially I was thinking that I would add some ribbon to this card, but when it came time it just didn’t fit. So I went with one of my other go-tos… bling! I added a few Rhinestone Basic Jewels to finish it off. I actually have a few more thank you cards to make so I may tweak this design a little bit. But overall I think it turned out nice!

If you like sweet treats and you like this card then you’ll want to sign up for my weekly email newsletter! Each week I share an exclusive PDF tutorial along with stamping tips and sneak peeks. Sign up here!
