Country Woods

I love new catalogues! There’s always great new stuff in there. And I especially love to check out all the new patterned paper! One of my favourite packs of patterned paper in the new Annual catalogue is the Country Woods Designer Series Paper pack. It has some of my favourite colours in there. And I love all the rustic and wood panel designs.

I loved it so much that I used it to make the card to go with the catalouges for my customers… along with a few other goodies of course! This time I made 2 differen card designs. They’re somewhat similar and so you could kind of say it’s 2 cards with 1 design. And I used different colours and different designs from the DSP pack to change them up.

For the first design I used Misty Moonlight and Basic Beige for my colours. The piece of woodgrain DSP went on the left hand side of the card front. And on the right hand side I stamped a few flowers using the new Flower’s of Beauty stamp set and my two colours. The sentiment is from the returing Something Fancy stamp set and I die cut it using one of the coordinating dies. Then to finish it off I added a few Rhinestonce Basic Jewels.

With the second designe I used Petal Pink and Basic Beige. The piece of Petal Pink DSP went on the same side as the other card. But instead of the little sentiment, I stamped it on a larger piece of Very Vanilla cardstock and framed it with some Petal Pink cardstock. And I popped that up with a few Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I can’t wait to craft with the other designs in the Country Woods DSP pack!

Perennial Lavender

Spring is here and we’ve been working at putting some garden beds together. I love this time of year for all the colours and of course the warmer weather! And one thing I always make sure to plant in my garden is lavender. Maybe that’s why I love the Perennial Lavender Designer Series Paper so much.

For this card design I’m using some strips of a couple of different designs, with the centre strip being just a little bit bigger than the rest. I’m using Crumb Cake cardstock for my card base. Even though it’s not officially one of the colours in this patterned paper pack it comes pretty darn close!

Behind the strips of DSP I made a background using a small floral image from the Flowers of Beauty stamp set. I stamped off my Gorgeous Grape ink onto a piece of scrap paper first. And then I stamped around the edges. I also used Gorgeous Grape ink for the sentiment which comes from the Hooray for Surprises stamp set. Then I added a few small Crumb Cake flowers around the sentiment and die cut it with one of the Something Fancy dies.

To finish it off I popped it up with a few Stampin’ Dimensionals and then added a few Rhinestone Basic Jewels.

Perennial Lavender

The Perennial Lavender DSP pack is so pretty! And even though this card doesn’t say “Happy Mother’s Day” it would definitely work.

Happy Mother’s Day everyone!

I Love Basic Beige!

The new Annual catalogue is here! Which means there are lots of new things to help inkspire our crafting. This includes some new colours. And I don’t just meant the 2024-202 In Colours. There’s a new basic colour; Basic Beige. At first when I saw it I wasn’t sure, but figured I’d give it a try. And I have to say I love Basic Beige!

I’m pairing Basic Beige with Petal Pink for this card that I made for my small team’s monthly creative challenge. There’s also a couple other new products in this card design. The patterned paper is from the new Country Wood Designer Series Paper Pack. I’m definitely going to have fun crafting with this pack of DSP! I used a couple of small strips of the DSP to frame the extra flap in the the centre. And then another larger strip on top of the flap.

On top of the flap I also added a sentiment from the Something Fancy stamp set. I stampin it in Basic Beige. And then I surrounded it with some flowers from the new Flowers of Beauty stamp set. This is a two-step stamp set. So I stamped the outline of the flowers first in Basic Beige. Then I “coloured” them in with Petal Pink ink. So pretty! The Basic Beige really shows off the detail in the outline, but is still fairly subtle. I framed this piece with some Petal Pink cardstock. And to finish it off I added a few Iridescent Pearl Basic Jewels.

I love Basic Beige

The card base is also Basic Beige. And it also opens up. So there’s lots of room to add a handwritten note.

I love Basic Beige! And am curious to know what you think. Let me know in the comments.

And if you want to check out the newest In Colours, check out a card I shared here last week.
