Handmade Father’s Day Card

June is here! Soon it’ll be summer and in just a couple of weeks is Father’s Day. There’s lot going on around here. Hopefully it settles down soon so I can get to my garden. In the meantime I’m sharing a handmade Father’s Day card. I was very glad to hear that the He’s All That stamp set and dies were carrying over to the new Annual Catalogue! This was one of the first sets I got when it came out in last year’s catalogue and I’ve been enjoying crafting with it. It’s definitely made making masculine cards a lot easier!

For this card I put Mossy Meadow and Crushed Curry together for my colour combination. I also added in a splash of Night of Navy. The sentiment is from the He’s All That stamp set, of course. Next I die cut it using one of the coordinating dies and then popped it off with a couple of Stampin’ Dimensionals.

In the background I stamped some paint splatter using the Quiet Meadow stamp set. And added a few of the argyle die cuts around the sentiment. For these I used all three colours and popped them up using some of the Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals. Then to finish it off I added a few Brushed Metallic Dots. A nice way to add some bling to your masculine cards!

Now this isn’t the handmade Father’s Day card I’ll be giving to my dad. But I’ll definitely be using the He’s All That stamps and dies!

He’s All That

June is here! Which means that summer’s coming and Father’s Day is around the corner. In just over two weeks acutally. Maybe that’s why I’ve been making so many masculine cards lately… or maybe it’s because I just love the He’s All That bundle. Either way I thought I’d share another card using this bundle. Check out this one that I made for a Paper Craft Crew vertical sketch challenge here.

For this card I went with all neutral colours. Yes navy is a neutral colour. I used Basic Black for the card base. Then I mixed in some Smoky Slate and Night of Navy. To add a little something to the smaller pieces of cardstock I embossed them. I embossed the piece of Smoky Slate using the Painted Texture 3D embossing folder. And the piece of Night of Navy cardstock with the splatter folder from the Stripes & Splatter 3D embossing folders.

For the stamping I added a little bit of ink splatter from the Quiet Meadow stamp set using Night of Navy ink. And the phrase, from the He’s All That stamp set, I stamped in Tuxedo Black Memento ink. To cut out the phrase I just used one of the coordinating dies. Then to finish it off I popped up the phrase with a few Stampin’ Dimensionals. Here it is…

He's All That

The He’s All That stamp set and dies are great for masculine cards… and for Father’s Day. These kinds of cards are definitely more of a challenge for me so I’m glad to have something that makes it so much easier! Check out the whole suite of products in my online shop. I especially love the Designer Series Paper and can’t wait to get my hands on that too!
