In Color Thank You Cards

I went through my last batch of thank you cards for my customers. And with the recent launch of the new Annual Catalogue, of course I need some more. So this time I’m making some In Color thank you cards. I’m still getting used to some of the new colours and so I thought this would be a good chance to play with more than one of them.

The design for this card is this month’s creative challenge for my small team. There was also an extra piece this time… use at least on of the new colours. To keep it simple, I’m using a Basic Black card base for all of them. And instead of using the 2023-2025 In Color Designer Series Paper, I took a piece of cardstock and embossed it using the Timeworn Type 3D embossing folder.

On top of that layer I stamped on pieces of Basic White cardstock using the different In Colours and the Season of Chic stamp set. The “thanks” also comes from this stamp set. Then I die cut the sentiment using the Something Fancy dies and popped it up with some Stampin’ Dimensionals. Next I used a few of the different images from the same stamp set and die cut them with the coordinating dies. I wanted them on the same level as the sentiment so I popped them up too. And to finish them off I added a few of the coordinating In Colour Dots.

I hope my customers like these In Color thank you cards!

#SimpleStamping with Paper Craft Crew

Each month Stampin’ Up! has a #SimpleStamping challenge and I’ve been having a lot of fun doing them. This week the Paper Craft Crew is doing some #SimpleStamping too (PCC488). So I’m excited to do some #SimpleStamping with Paper Craft Crew and Stampin’ Up!

#SimpleStamping with Paper Craft Crew

For my card design I started with what punch I was going to use. (Stampin’ Up!s challenge gives us an extra punch to work with on top of the usual stamps, ink and paper.) I love the bottle images from the Vintage Christmas stamp set! So I decided to use the Vintage Bottle punch even though this is going to be a thank you card.

From here I picked my colour combination. And since it’s not going to be a Christmas card I’m using Pale Papaya and Crumb Cake as my main colours. I stamped the bottly with Crumb Cake ink and the main flowers in Pale Papaya ink. Then I added in a splash of Soft Succulent for the flowers’ centres. The thank you is from the Biggest Wish stamp set. I also stamped that in Pale Papaya, then framed it with some Crumb Cake cardstock and popped it up with Stampin’ Dimensionals to be at the same level as the bottle. And to have a little something more in the background I stamped the ink splatter image from the Quiet Meadow stamp set with Crumb Cake ink.

#SimpleStamping with Paper Craft Crew

I really enjoy #SimpleStamping! And so I had a lot of fun with these challenges.

Tropical Thank You Card

For this week’s Paper Craft Crew Challenge (PCC461) I decided I’d make a tropical thank you card. When I first saw this horizontal sketch challenge I was thinking of using ribbon or twine to make the lines for my design. But then I changed my mind. Here’s the sketch…

Tropical Thank You Card

What I decided to do was show off the Artfully Composed Designer Series Paper from the January-June Mini catalogue. The colours and designs in this pack are so nice. And you don’t need to add a lot of extra layers on top if you don’t want to. To start I chose the simple Evening Evergreen design and then fussy cut some of the leaves from another. If you have the coordinating dies then you can use those instead. Then to create my lines and stick with my tropical theme I embossed some strips of Crumb Cake cardstock using the Tasteful Textile 3D embossing folder.

The phrase comes from the Timeless Tropical stamp set from the Annual catalogue which I cut out using one of the Layering Circles dies. I decided not to use Stampin’ Dimensionals on this design. But I did want to add a little something more and so I added a few of the Faux Sea Glass Shapes that are so popular right now. Here’s my card…

Tropical Thank You Card

It’s been so long since I did one of these and I always have so much fun participating in these sketch challenges! They help me try different things and sometimes push me out of my comfort zone.

I really like how my tropical thank you card turned out. Check out one of my previous Paper Craft Crew Challenge designs here. And to check out all of this week’s entries head over to the Paper Craft Crew website.

Simple Handmade Cards

Today is the last day of Sale-a-bration! I’m going to miss a lot of these producs. There are so many great options in this catalogue. And I’ve had so much fun crafting with them. The Sunshine & Rainbows Designer Series Paper is one of my favourites. So I thought I’d share some simple handmade cards featuring this pretty patterned paper!

The inkspiration for these cards came from Shannon West. I love how she layered the different designs! The colours for the card bases came from the DSP designs i used. I used Magenta Madness, Misty Moonlight, Bermuda Bay, Petal Pink and Pool Party. And the DSP designs worked out really well because for all the cards I just flipped the sheet over for the other design.

Simple Handmade Cards

Since I don’t have the Cloud Punch, I fussy cut the clouds. Thankfully that was pretty easy! And the phrases came from Free as a Bird (thank you) and Timeless Tulips (happy birthday). The ink colours came from the card base colours. Then I punched out the phrase with the plain oval from the Double Oval Punch. And added a few Stampin’ Dimensionals behind them both to pop them up. To finish it off I added a few Rhinestone Basic Jewels and a simple bow using the white twine from the Baker’s Twine Essentials pack.

Simple Handmade Cards

I just love these simple handmade cards! And I’m going to miss a lot of the products from the Sale-a-bration catalogue. Especially the Sunshine & Rainbows DSP. Check out another project I made with this great patterned paper here.

Stampin’ Up! will have some new Sale-a-bration products in the summer, but these ones will be gone after today. So if there’s something you’ve had your eye on now is the time! Head over to my online shop and get yours before they’re gone!

Amazing Thank Yous

I love to share my cards with others! Handmade cards are the best way to show someone you care. And I especially enjoy thanking my customers, whether it’s with some embellishments, tags or cards. This time around I made some amazing thank yous… meaning I used the Amazing Silhouettes stamp set to make some thank you cards and tags. This stamp set still isn’t a go-to for me, but I’m warming up to it. Check out the first card I made with this set here!

For this card I got my inkspiration from someone else’s design and then added my own spin. I really liked the idea of having the tree image as the main focus. From there I decided to use Just Jade. This is such a pretty green! Plus I could used some of the Just Jade Gingham ribbon from the Flowers for Every Season ribbon combo pack. I’ll definitely miss this colour when it retires in just a couple of months!

To frame the image I used the Stitched Rectangles dies and added a bit of Just Jade cardstock behind it. Then I wrapped some of the Just Jade Gingham ribbon around that (and another piece of Basic White cardsdtock) and popped it up with some Stampin’ Dimensionals. To finish it off I used the ‘thank you’ from the Sweet Ice Cream stamp set. Which I also die cut using the Stitched Rectangles. And then I added a simple knot of the ribbon.

Amazing Thank Yous

For the tag I simply stamped the butterfly image from the same stamp set using Fresh Freesia. Then I used the Delightful Tag Topper punch and added some Linen Thread. This ‘thank you’ came from the Friends are Like Seashells stamp set. Which I popped up with a couple of Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Amazing Thank Yous

I hope my customers enjoy these amazing thank yous as much as I appreciate them! Check out the Amazing Silhouettes stamp set here in my online shop.

More #SimpleStamping

It’s time for some more #SimpleStamping! You’ve probably noticed that most of my card designs are fairly simple. I love to add bling, but I’m not big into adding layers upon layers of stuff. And so I love the idea of Stampin’ Up!s #SimpleStamping challenges! They started with just being able to use stamps, ink and paper for the cards. And then eventually they add in an extra element once in a while… like a punch or Designer Series Paper. For this month’s challenge though it’s just the basics. And it needed to be a thank you card. I’m always digging around for thank you cards so this is a great chance for my to stock up on a few.

I also like this challenge because I don’t want to get bored with crafting holiday cards too soon. It is only the beginning of November. For my card design I started with looking for the “thank you” I wanted to use. I have a few different stamp sets with a thank you and ended up using the one from the Timeless Tropical stamp set. The font is just so nice! From there I needed my images. I haven’t made a card using the Quiet Moments stamp set in a while so I decided to go with that one. Plus I love the variety of the images in this set!

Next up was my colour combination. For this card design I used Petal Pink and Mint Macaron. This is one of my favourite colour combinations! I also added in a little bit of Crumb Cake to create a background. The typed words image is such a great image to create a background or some Designer Series Paper of your own. Then I used Petal Pink for the flowers.

I popped up the phrase and blooms using some Stampin’ Dimensionals. Part of me was tempted to add some bling, but I was able to hold off. I love how this card turned out, but if you want to level it up that would be easy to do with some Rhinestone Basic Jewels, Wink of Stella or some ribbon/twine. Here’s my card…
