#SimpleStamping with Flowers of Beauty

This week I’m sharing some #SimpleStamping with Flowers of Beauty; one of the new stamp sets in the Annual Catalogue. I thought it’d be a great set for the theme of this month’s #SimpleStamping challenge from Stampin’ Up!… love or sympathy. Sadly I actually need a sympathy card so that’s the theme I picked. The other piece to this month’s challenge is that we can only use stamps, ink, paper and an embellishment. So a little something extra this time!

I quickly thought of using the 2023-2025 In Colour Opaque Sparkle dots for my embellishment. So that helped with my colour combination; Boho Blue and Wild Wheat. I’m using Wild Wheat for my card case and Boho Blue for my card mat. Then on my card mat I did some tone on tone stamping with one of the flowers from the Flowers of Beauty stamp set. I also stamped my sentiment with Boho Blue ink. It comes from the Something Fancy stamp set.

Next I made a smaller card front than usual and I framed it with some more Wild Wheat cardstock. This way you can see the Boho Blue flowers on the card mat. On the smaller card front I stamped some of the taller foliage using both Wild Wheat and Boho Blue ink. I popped this up with a few Stampin’ Dimensionals. Then to finish it off I added a few Wild Wheat dots.

When you do #SimpleStamping with Flowers of Beauty, or other stamp sets with great images, your cards can turn out just as pretty as those with lots of layers and die cuts, etc.

Handmade Easter Treat Boxes

Handmade Easter treat boxes are definitely more my thing than Easter cards. My munchkins always get a little something from the Easter bunny. And so of course the Easter Bunny (aka me, lol) likes to make something pretty to put them in.

For these cute boxes I’m using my favourite image from the Excellent Eggs stamp set from the January-April Mini catalogue. Although I do love the bunny too, he’s super cute! Anyway… instead of making them all just one colour I thought I’d use 2. And to pick my colours I needed to pick my patterned paper first. I wanted a simple design to show off the detail in the egg. So I used a Boho Blue design from the Fresh like a Daisy Designer Series Paper pack. And a Gorgeous Grape design from the Perennial Lavender Designer Series Paper pack.

From here, I heat embossed the bunny egg design on the coordinating cardstock using white embossing powder. Then I die cut the eggs with the coordinating die. Next I stamped “Happy Easter” in the same ink colours (Boho Blue and Gorgeous Grape) on some Basic White cardstock.

To put it all together I wrapped the strips of Designer Series Paper around the Envelope Treat Boxes to make a belly band. Then I added on the white embossed eggs and stamped sentiment. Just make sure to be careful where you put your adhesive! Otherwise you might end of with the pieces sticking to the box which would make it hard to slide the belly band off.

I’ll be posting a video on my YouTube channel showing off these cute handmade Easter treat boxes in about a week. So check out my channel or watch here for an update.

Handmade Mother’s Day Card

Somehow this year Mother’s Day snuck up on me. In the past I’ve made some fun fold cards for my mom. But this year it just didn’t quite work out. I still managed to craft a pretty handmade Mother’s Day card though.

For this year’s card I used the Season of Chic stamp set and dies. I’ve had my eye on this one for quite a while and I finally added it to my collection recently. The images are great and so versatile. And there’s a nice variety of sentiments too. Both things I LOVE in a stamp set!

For colours I used Boho Blue and Wild Wheat from the new 2023-2025 In Colours. I also added a splash of Old Olive for the leaves. The flowers and sentiment I stamped in Boho Blue. Then I cut out the flowers, along with a few extra, with the coordinating die cuts. And popped up the flowers and sentiment with Stampin’ Dimensionals. I used Wild Wheat for the splotchy image. And I also used a piece of Wild Wheat cardstock with the Painted Texture 3D Embossing Folder for a little something more.

Handmade Mother's Day Card

If you want to add a little something more to this handmade Mother’s Day card, you could add a few of the 2023-2025 In Colour Dots.

I can’t wait to craft some more seasonal projects with these! In the meantime you can check out one my previous Mother’s Day cards here. And you can take a look at the Season of Chic stamp set in my online shop here.

#SimpleStamping Just Because

Before this month is done I want to make sure I do this month’s #SimpleStamping challenge! This month we’re making a #SimpleStamping just because card. A card to say ‘hello’. And this month we can use something extra. This month we can use a punch on top of the usual stamps, ink and paper.

This time I’m using some retiring products and colours for my card. Two of my favourite colours are retiring; Rich Razzleberry and Pear Pizzazz. I’m especially sad about Pear Pizzazz. That’s been my go-to colour for leaves and foliage. So I had to use it one more time with the Happiness Abounds stamp set (which is also retiring).

Rich Razzleberry is my card base. And Pear Pizzazz is my card mat. Then in the background I stamped a mix of Pear Pizzazz leaves and Rich Razzleberry flowers. I also added a splash of Boho Blue, one of the new In Colours from the upcoming Annual catalogue. Then along the centre strip of Rich Razzleberry cardstock I did some tone on tome stamping with the large flower.

To make this a simple card to say hello, I stamped “friend” in Pear Pizzazz ink. Then I punched it out with the scalloped oval from the Double Oval punch. And to add at least a little something to the card, I popped up my word with some Stampin’ Dimensionals.

#SimpleStamping Just Because

I enjoy making cards for all occasions, so to do some #SimpleStamping just because was pretty fun!

Check out the card I made for last month’s #SimpleStamping challenge here. It also features the Happiness Abounds stamp set.

And there’s only one more week to get any of the retiring products. Don’t miss out! See what’s still available before it’s gone for good in my online shop here.
