Collage Stamping with the 2024-2025 In Colours

It’s only a few more days until the new Annual catalogue launches! I can’t wait! And so in the meantime, I’m happy to share a look at the new In Colours. It’s too early for me to pick a favourite. But at least for now I’m liking all of them. So I thought it’s be fun to do some collage stamping with the 2024-2025 In Colours.

For this card I’m using the soon to be retired stamp set Enchanted Butterfly. This has been a fun stamp set to craft with because of all the different images. It’s also a great one to use for collage stamping because of this.

Whenever I do collage stamping I always make sure to stamp the biggest image first. In this case it’s the large flower that I stamped with Peach Pie ink. Then from here you go down in size with your images to fill in the gaps. And don’t worry about images overlapping! I stamped the butterflies in Pretty in Pink, the leaves in Shy Shamrock and the dotted circles in Summer Splash.

The sentiment is from Something Fancy and I stamped it with Petunia Pop ink which is the same colour as the card mat. Next I die cut the sentiment with one of the Something Fancy dies… I’m so glad both of these will be in the next catalogue! And I popped it up with a few Stampin’ Dimensionals. Then I finished it off by adding a few Brushed Brass Butterflies.

Collage stamping with the 2024-2025 In Colours is so fun. These colours really go great together! I can’t wait to pair them up with the other Stampin’ Up! colours.

Handmade Thinking of You Card

Over the next few weeks I’m going to be sharing projects using some of the products that are retiring very soon. This week I’m using the Quiet Meadow stamp set and Masterfully Made Designer Series Paper to make a handmade thinking of you card. This is also the theme for this month’s #SimpleStamping challenge from Stampin’ Up! For this challenge we can use some DSP along with the usual stamps, ink and paper.

I used my patterned paper design choice to lead to my ink and cardstock colours. The Fresh Freesia design in the Masterfully Made DSP pack has been my favourite, so I’m using some of my last pieces for this design. I’m also using some Crumb Cake to tone down the brightness of the Fresh Freesia to keep with the more subdued theme of the thinking of you card.

So the card base is Crumb Cake cardstock with some Fresh Freesia layered on top for the card mat. Then I stamped some Crumb Cake ink splatter to create a simple background. On top of that are two pieces of the Masterfully Made DSP Fresh Freesia design. I thought it’d be fun to layer some diamonds on top of the background. The centre diamond is a Fresh Freesia flower from the Enchanted Butterfly stamp set… which sadly is also retiring. I popped up all three diamonds with some Stampin’ Dimensionals. Then to finish it off I added the “thinking of you” from the Quiet Meadow stamp set in Crumb Cake ink. I added that right on top of the flower. And then I fussy cut a Fresh Freesia butterfly, also from the Enchanted Butterfly stamp set.

Handmade Thinking of You Card

To step up this #SimpleStamping handmade thinking of you card, you can simply add a few Brushed Brass Butterflies. Or maybe a couple of die cut butterflies from the coordinating Meadow dies.

Keep checking back for more projects featuring some of the soon to be retired products. And as soon as I can, I’ll share some projects with some things from the upcoming new Annual catalogue.

In the meantime, check out this fun slimline card I made using the Enchanted Butterfly stamp set.

#SimpleStamping with Enchanted Butterfly

I recently invited my small team members over to hang out and craft. We made 2 cards. One was a Christmas card with some things from the new mini catalogue. And for the other card I wanted something more bright and summery. So I thought it’s be fun to do some #SimpleStamping with Enchanted Butterfly… one of my favourite stamp sets from the Annual catalogue.

This is a great stamp set to do collage stamping with which is a great technique to use when you’re doing some #SimpleStamping. And to make it bright and summery I used some of the 2022-2024 In Colours. I used Orchid Oasis for my card base. I think this is my favourite of these In Colours. And I added a bit of Basic Black cardstock to help the colours pop.

I started the design using the large flowers with Sweet Sorbet ink. Then I added some Orchid Oasis butterflies. But before I flipped it over (because this stamp set is reversible) to ‘colour’ them in, I added some Parakeet Party leaves. I find it so much easier to start this kind of design with the largest image and work my way down.

For the sentiment I used one of the ‘hello’s from the Biggest Wish stamp set. I stamped that with Orchid Oasis ink and framed it with some Orchid Oasis cardstock. Then I popped it up with some Stampin’ Dimensionals.

At our get together I also offered the option of stepping the design up a little bit. I stepped mine up with some Wink of Stella Glitterbrush and a few 2022-2024 In Colour Ombre Matte Decorative Dots.

Enchanted Butterfly Slimline Card

I haven’t made one of these cards in a while. And something about this stamp set told me I needed to make an Enchanted Butterfly slimline card. I’m just getting started with this new stamp set from the Annual Catalogue and can’t wait to see what I else I end up crafting! This set will definitely be used to make some thank you tags for my customers. In the meantime though this card was a lot of fun to make.

I decided to use Blackberry Bliss and Lost Lagoon for my colour combination. Since the return of Lost Lagoon I’m finding I’m using it ALOT! Plus it’s a nice compliment to the darker Blackberry Bliss. I used Blackberry Bliss for the card base and then added a strip of Lost Lagoon cardstock to frame the large Blackberry Bliss flowers.

Behind the flowers I have some Lost Lagoon leaves. Then on top of that I stamped a sentiment from the Season of Chic stamp set. I used one of the Something Fancy dies to cut out the sentiment and then popped it up with some Stampin’ Dimensionals. I had to add a butterfly of course! And this one is stamped with Crushed Curry. I kind of wish that there were coordinating dies for this stamp set, but the images aren’t too bad to fussy cut. The butterfly is popped up too. And to finish it off I added a few Brushed Brass Butterflies.

Enchanted Butterfly Slimline Card

This stamp set has a few larger images in it. So an Enchanted Butterfly slimline card, works out great!

Enchanted Butterfly Birthday Card

I was so excited when I saw this new stamp set from Stampin’ Up! If you’ve been following me for a while then you’ll know I LOVE butterflies and that I was pretty sad when the Butterfly Brilliance stamps and dies retired. (I’m holding on to those for sure!) Enchanted Butterfly was not part of the demonstrator pre-order back in April, so I had to wait. But I finally have it now and I’m so excited to get crafting with it! My first project is an Enchanted Butterfly birthday card.

Recently a team member shared a card in our group and I liked her design. (Thanks Diane Kent!) So I used that as my starting point and tweaked it as I went. I of course was adding a butterfly so I flipped through the Inked Botanicals Designer Series Paper pack for a design that would work for my background. Usually I don’t use a lot of yellows when I craft, but I loved this Crushed Curry design. It’s so simple and so pretty! To help it pop I’m using Basic Black cardstock for my base and for the centre frame.

On top of my DSP card mat I layered a piece of Crushed Curry cardstock that I embossed with the Painted Texture 3D embossing folder. This is one of my favourite embossing folders right now. It just adds that little something more you know. Then on top of that I used a “happy birthday” from the Biggest Wish stamp set. I stamped that with Tuxedo Black Memento ink and sprinkled some crosses around it using Crushed Curry ink.

Next I stamped the front facing butterfly image with Memento ink on a separate piece of Basic White cardstock. Once that was dry I flipped over the stamp to colour it in using Crushed Curry ink. Because this stamp set is reversible you can get nice clean images no matter what side you use. With other, non-reversible, stamp sets the image doesn’t line up when you flip them over. Then I popped up the butterfly and sentiment using some Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Enchanted Butterfly Birthday Card

If you want to add a little something more to this Enchanted Butterfly birthday card, you could add some Wink of Stella to the butterfly. Or you could add some Brushed Brass Butterflies.

You can find the Enchanted Butterfly stamp set and Inked Botanicals DSP in my online shop.
