Pretty Paper

I just love all the pretty paper from the Sale-a-bration catalogue!! Especially the Friendly Hello Designer Series Paper. The colours… the designs… In the middle of winter these bright colours are so refreshing. And it was hard to pick just one design for my card. So what better way to not have to decide than with a Z-fold card. I love Z-Fold cards! They’re so easy to make and look great. Plus they’re a great way to feature different elements without having to worry about one taking away from the other.

So for this design I picked 2 of my favourite designs. I put the lighter, brighter DSP design on the outer panel. And the Granny Apple Green DSP design on the inner panel. Then I pulled from the DSP designs I choose and used Granny Apple Green for the card base.

On the inside I stamped the small flower and foliage image with Petal Pink, which is another colour from the DSP. With Z-Fold cards I always make sure to add at least a little something on the inner most panel. It looks a lot nicer than just a plain piece of Basic White cardstock.

Then on the outer panel I added a phrase from the Friendly Hello stamp set. I stamped it with Granny Apple Green ink, of course and then I cut it out with the Stitched So Sweetly dies. From there I popped up the phrase with some Stampin’ Dimensionals and added a few Rhinestone Basic Jewels. Here it is…

Pretty Paper

#SimpleStamping with Sale-a-bration

The first #SimpleStamping challenge of 2022 is here! And it’s Sale-a-bration so it totally makes sense that this month’s challenge is some #SimpleStamping with Sale-a-bration. This month we need to create a birthday card using stamps, ink, paper and something from the Sale-a-bration catalogue. At first I thought of using the Sunshine & Rainbows Designer Series Paper because it’s filled with lots of bright, fun colours. Great for a birthday card right?! But I’m just loving the Awesome Otters stamp set so I ended up using that as the jumping off point for my design instead.

From there I needed my colour combination. Coastal Cabana is such a pretty blue so I started with that. The Crumb Cake coordinates really well, plus it’s a good colour for an otter and some sand. I also used some Old Olive so I could create a nice water scene. The Friends are like Seashells stamp set worked great for this. I used it for the seaweed and the specs of sand. Then I used a couple of the filler images, stamped off on a scrap piece of paper, to make the sand and add a bit of water.

#SimpleStamping with Sale-a-bration

The phrase on the outside is a great one. It can be used for a birthday card or a just because card. So since this is supposed to be a birthday card I added an extra phrase on the inside. I used the “happy birthday” from the Sweet Ice Cream stamp set. Which I topped off with the birthday hat from the Awesome Otters stamp set.

#SimpleStamping with Sale-a-bration

I always have fun with #SimpleStamping! And doing some #SimpleStamping with Sale-a-bration made it even more fun. Here’s another card I made using the Awesome Otters stamp set. And remember you only need a $60 order to earn these cute little guys for free! So once you have your list head over to my online shop.

Friendly Hello

This past weekend I had an online catalogue launch party on my Facebook page to celebrate the new catalogues. There was a lot going on! Games, prizes and the chance to check out some of the products from the January-June Mini and Sale-a-bration catalgoues. And of course what stamping party would be complete without some stamping! So I had a live crafting session. And for my customers who registered, they received some supplies to stamp along… and some treats too! I used the Friendly Hello stamp set from the Sale-a-bration catalogue. Partly because I love it and partly because I thought most stampers would have some stamp sets with flowers and birds to substitute.

I thought about using the Designer Series Paper that comes with the free stamp set, but decided not to. I did pull my colour combination from the DSP though and used Petal Pink, Granny Apple Green and Crumb Cake. With these colours I made my own stamped DSP. I love doing this and this one turned out nice!

Underneath I added a piece of Crumb Cake cardstock that I embossed using the new Gingham Embossing Folder. It really adds a little something to plain cardstock! And I think this may be my new favourite embossing folder. I also wrapped some Petal Pink cotton ribbon around it and tied a bow. This ribbon comes from the new Cotton Ribbon Combo pack. It comes with Petal Pink and Misty Moonlight.

From there I added the bird on a branch image and a phrase. Both were cut out using the Stitched So Sweetly dies and popped up with some Stampin’ Dimensionals. Then to finish it off I added a bit of bling with a few of the new Brushed Brass Butterflies. I love crafting with these sssooo much! I’ve already used over half a pack! Check out one of my other cards using these butterflies and some of the other great Sale-a-bration products here. Here’s the card from my party…

Friendly Hello

I’m sad that the Friendly Hello stamp set and DSP are only around until February 28th. But I’m definitely going to make the most of it! I hope you like this card as much as my customers and party attendees do!

For more information on how to earn this stamp set and DSP for free, check out my post all about Sale-a-bration here. And then you can fill up your cart in my online shop here. Remember to use this month’s host code when you do to get a free pack of Polished Dots from me for your order of $49 or more!

One of my favourite products from the Sale-a-bration catalogue is the Sunshine and Rainbows DSP. It’s so colourful and fun! Plus it coordinates perfectly with the Rainbow of Happiness stamp set and dies from the January-June Mini catalogue.

Sale-a-bration is back!

Sunshine and Rainbows

It’s that time of year again… Sale-a-bration time! The new catalogues just launched on Tuesday and I’m so excited for them. So today I’m sharing a project using 2 of the new Sale-a-bration products. The first is the Sunshine and Rainbows Designer Series Paper. And the other is the Catching Butterflies stamp set. Both are super cute and are some of my favourites from the Sale-a-bration catalogue!

To start my design I knew I wanted to use the Catching Butterflies stamp set. So next I needed my colour combination and for that I pulled from the DSP pack. There are so many fun and colourful designs is this pack of DSP! I decided to used the design with the Pool Party clouds and was pleasantly surprised when I flipped it over and could use the other design as well. So Petal Pink ended up being my other colour.

I stamped the girl with Tuxedo Black Memento ink and a couple of butterflies in Petal Pink. So to bring in the Pool Party from the DSP, I used that to stamp my phrase. The phrase is also from the Catching Butterflies stamp set.

To make sure I could still see lots of the DSP I cut out the image and phrase using the Layering Circles and Stitched So Sweetly dies. Then I popped them up with a few Stampin’ Dimensionals. To finish it off I added a few of the Brushed Brass Butterflies. I’m a big butterfly person, so as soon as I saw these in the new January-June Mini catalogue I knew I had to have them!

Here’s the finished card…

Sunshine and Rainbows

I just love the Sunshine and Rainbows DSP and can’t wait to craft with it some more! Keep coming back for more projects using some of the products from the new catalogues. Plus you can also get exclusive project sheets when you sign up for my weekly newsletter here. Or if you’re all set to dive in and place your order to get your free Sale-a-bration products then head over to my online shop!

Awesome Otters

The new catalogues are set to launch next week! So I thought I’d share a simple card using the Awesome Otters stamp set. This comes from the upcoming Sale-a-bration catalogue, which I know you’re going to love. I have always loved otters, so when I saw this set it immediately jumped to the top of my wishlist! The images are super cute. And they’re great whether you decide to colour them or not.

For this simple card I wanted to show off some of the other great products from the Sale-a-bration catalogue too. So I paired these cute otters with the Sunshine & Rainbows Designer Series Paper. The card base is Bermuda Bay for the water of course and the DSP design is Pool Party. I really wanted to show off the paper, so I trimmed down the images into squares.

I stamped the phrase and otters in Early Espresso ink. Then I coloured the otters with the first pack of Watercolour Pencils using Early Espresso and Bermuda Bay. There’s also a little bit of Melon Mambo and Old Olive in there. I wish the Stitched Shapes dies were still around. If they were I totally would have used them for this card. Instead I just made Basic White cardstock squares.

I popped up a couple of the otters with some Stampin’ Dimensionals and just used Stampin’ SEAL for the phrase and other otter. That made it easier to stagger the images so that you could still see most of the stamped images. Then to finish it off I added a few Opal Rounds. There are some Faux Sea Glass shapes that I would have loved to have added from the upcoming new mini catalogue. Those will definitely be on my next order!!

I know I’m going to have a lot of fun crafting with the Awesome Otters stamp set. And I can’t wait for you guys to see what’s in the new catalogues! Frosted Gingerbread

I’m back with another couple of projects featuring some retiring products from the July-December Mini catalogue! This time I’m sharing one of my favourite stamp sets… Frosted Gingerbread. I also love the suite that it’s a part of; Gingerbread & Peppermint. Making gingerbread cookies at this time of year is something I’ve done since I was a little kid. And now my munchkins help me with the baking and love it just as much. This stamp set is super cute and it reminds me of baking gingerbread cookies… how could it not?!

This first card shows of the Frosted Gingerbread stamp set on it’s own. I used a combination of Real Red and Old Olive ink. And used some of the returning, now retiring, Real Red Sheer Ribbon. I simply stamped different images from the stamp set randomly on some Basic White cardstock to create a background. And then I did it again with a smaller piece of Basic White that I popped up with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

If you want to step this card up a bit you can use the Stitched Rectangles dies for the smaller pieces of Basic White. Or even add a few rhinestones or gems. I liked keeping this one nice and simple!

Frosted Gingerbread

For my other card I wanted to show off some of the great Designer Series Paper from this suite. The colours and designs are perfect for the Christmas holidays. And some of the images on the DSP can be cut out with the Gingerbread dies. Although for this card I decided to fussy cut some of the gingerbread oven mitts.

I used Old Olive and Real Red again which goes with the DSP. Then I popped up the oven mitts and phrase using Stampin’ Dimensionals. I also added a little bit of White Crinkled Seam binding ribbon behind the phrase. And I wanted to add a bit of bling on this one so I added a few Rhinestone Basic Jewels.

Frosted Gingerbread

These cards were fun and easy to make. I’m definitely going to miss the Frosted Gingerbread stamp set… and the rest of this suite!

Check out last week’s projects featuring the Time of Giving bundle here. And you can check out all the retiring products in my online shop. These are only available until January 3rd, or while supplies last. So don’t wait too long!

Take the Plunge!

I often share things in my social posts about how much I love my team and enjoy being a demonstrator for Stampin’ Up! My team are a great group of creative people who are so kind, thoughtful and supportive. And Stampin’ Up! of course has fantastic products, but also knows how to have fun and is super supportive to it’s customers and demonstrators. I wouldn’t have stuck around for 9 years otherwise and I’m so glad that I decided to take the plunge!

Like most demonstrators I found something that I loved doing and couldn’t resist the discount. Fellow crafters you know how easy it is to spend ALOT on our supplies, so 20-25% off is hard to pass up! Especially when it’s great quality products. Over the years I’ve been sharing my love of crafting and Stampin’ Up!. First with classes for friends and family. Then on social media and here. And lately I’ve been wanting to share this great opportunity more and more.

After the discount, the best thing about being a Stampin’ Up! demonstrator are the people you get to meet. I refer to my team as my Stampin’ family and that’s because whenever we get together it’s like no time has passed. And once this pandemic is past us I know that it’ll be just like I saw them last week. I’ve even had the chance to meet demonstrators from around the world and I’m hoping that I’ll be able to attend my 10th anniversary in person at OnStage next year. Here are some pics of me and my teams.

If after all this you still need a little something more to take the plunge, I have it for you. From now until the end of this month (Nov. 30th) you can get the awesome Starter kit for only $100! The Starter kit comes with catalogues, business supplies and $165 worth of Stampin’ Up! product of your choice. Usually the kit is $135 and even at that price it’s a great deal. But with the discount and the fact that you don’t have to pay taxes or shipping, there isn’t a better time to sign up then now.

Send me an email if you have any questions (inkspirationwithteresa@gmail.com). Or you can dive right in and join my team here! I’m happy to help in any way I can and I can’t wait to get to know you!

Take the plunge

Sale-a-bration 2021

The new January-June Mini catalogue is here! But more importantly Sale-a-bration 2021 is here!! This is always a great time to stock up on crafting supplies because when you do you earn free and exclusive products. Stampin’ Up! is doing it a little differently though this time around. So here’s all the details so you can make the best of Sale-a-bration.

The big difference this year is that Sale-a-bration is only 2 months, til the end of February, instead of 3! And instead of only 1 Sale-a-bration, this year there will be 2. The second one will take place over the summer. Otherwise Sale-a-bration is very much the same. Every order of $60 will earn you a free and exclusive Sale-a-bration product of your choice. So when your order is $60 you can choose a Level 1 product, when your order is $120 you can choose either 1 Level 2 product or 2 Level 1 products and so on. The other important thing to highlight is that some of these products may not last until the end of Sale-a-bration. So you won’t want to wait! Here’s some of the great products that you can earn for free during this Sale-a-bration.

Sale-a-bration 2021

As always there are 2 other ways that you can earn extras during Sale-a-bration. The first is by hosting a qualifying party of $375 or more. When you do, you not only get extra Stampin’ Rewards (aka free stuff), but you’ll also earn the Punch Party stamp set from the picture above. You can’t get this set any other way.

The other way is by joining my team. The Starter Kit is always a good deal because you get $165 worth of Stampin’ Up! products of your choice for only $135 (tax and shipping included)! But right now you can also get 5 exclusive 6×6 packs of Designer Series Paper. Each pack features one of Stampin’ Up!s colour families; Brights, Neutrals, Regals and Subtles.
