Lately I’ve been wanting to do more colouring. And the Beautiful Butterflies stamp set is a great one for that! It doesn’t matter whether you use Stampin’ Blends or Watercolour Pencils, both look great. Although I may be a little biased because I LOVE butterflies, lol!
For this card design I coloured my butterflies a couple of different ways. I coloured one using just the Light Calypso Coral Stampin’ Blend. Then another with just the Dark Calypso Coral Stampin’ Blend. And one more using both the light and the dark blends. Once they were coloured and dry I die cut them with the coordinating dies and popped up two of them on the front. The other small one I put on the inside of the card.
Behind the butterflies I added some leaves from the Layering Leaves stamp set using Garden Green ink. Full strength for the outline and then I stamped off to “colour” them in. The sentiment is from the Beautiful Butterflies stamp set. It’s stamped using Garden Green ink and then I added some small ink spots using another image from Layering Leaves using Calypso Coral ink. I die cut the sentiment using one of the Something Fancy dies and popped it up so it’s on the same level as the butterflies. Then to finish it off I added a few Iridescent Foil Gems.

I love how easy it was to colour some beautiful looking butterflies! And the colour with Stampin’ Blends is so vivid.
